FED: Eyes of world on Australia as Year 2000 arrives

CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - As the clock strikes midnight on the even of the new millennium, the
eyes of the world, or at least those not too fogged by new year cheer, will be on Australia.

Global time zones mean Australia will be one of the first developed nations to enter the
year 2000 and the first to show whether millennium bug fixes have worked.
